A report is a written narrative — not just a chart — that InsightBase generates from your data and a plain-language intent.

Provide a type, an intent (what you want to know), a datasource or dashboard to base it on, and a date range — plus a comparison range for comparison reports. Generation streams progress live, the same way dashboard generation does, and produces both a structured version and an HTML version you can view or share directly.
Turn any report configuration into a recurring schedule — daily, weekly, or monthly, on a specific day and hour — delivered by email to a list of recipients. Schedules can be run on demand at any time in addition to their normal cadence, and disabled without losing their configuration.
Any generated report can be manually delivered by email on demand — useful for sending a one-off report to someone without waiting for its schedule, or without a schedule at all.
